Come to the Highlands ...

Ross-shire and the Isle of Skye are noted for their breathtaking scenery. Their misty mountains, lochs and sandy beaches, the land of the Golden Eagle and the Red Deer, remain unchanged over the centuries, yet modern comfort is at hand in the way of our carefully maintained self catering units in their large range of sizes and environmental settings. Choose the sea, woodland walks in the National Trust for Scotland enclave at Balmacara or houses on the harbour in Plockton (jewel in the Highlands) with its friendly two week regatta for all comers (ashore or afloat last week July, 1st week August annually.) Lochcarron, Kyle of Lochalsh or the garden of Skye on the wooded Sleat Peninsula. Wherever or whenever you choose to stay you can be assured of a warm welcome in our friendly villages and if taking a meal out, there are many good pubs and restaurants from which you can choose (see some of our recommendations).

We may live in an eighteenth century setting - but we can give those who live in the twenty-first a run for their money.
