The Island of Skye
Beaches, rugged mountains, forest walks, crystal waters, all surround this magical Island and for enthusiasts, there's fishing, watersports,, sailing or kayaking. The glen teams with wildlife. You are very likely to see otters and eagles as well as seals and stags.
Some places not to miss: The Quiraing - go up to Staffin and then cut over this amazing mountain road, pausing at the summit to gaze out over the length of Skye, to the village of Uig where the ferry leaves for The Outer Isles of Lewis, Harris and Uist. Portree, bustling capital town of Skye, has a lovely wee harbour and of course there is always something going on. Dunvegan and the Castle: relive the history of the clan MacLeod as you wander through the castle and gardens and don't miss the Fairy Flag!
